About FFC
Football for Cancer was created in 2008 and has grown from a single tournament into a charity that has raised over £1 million for local cancer charities and families affected by cancer. In 2019, we updated our name to Friends Fighting Cancer to reflect how we had grown from being just a football tournament into something much bigger.
As a local charity, we are able to act fast and provide much-needed funds via our Grant Scheme, often in less than 24 hours. We provide money directly to families to help alleviate the financial burden that coping with this disease can cause.
Without the continued support of our volunteers, participants, supporters, and corporate sponsors, we simply would not be where we are today.
What we do
The FFC Shop
The FFC charity shop was something the charity had been working towards for several years. Having a permanent home was vital for the charity’s growth and its presence within the local community.
On 2nd August 2017, the shop officially opened and is now the established base for the charity. Open 7 days a week, you’re assured of a warm and friendly welcome from the team.
We stock a wide range of pre-loved sports equipment, including football shirts and boots. We also have a large selection of darts equipment, from boards and surrounds to flights and stems – we truly have all your darts needs covered.
